Overview

Petar Antic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, where he grew up surrounded by nature, animals, and traditional crafts. As the son of a talented artist and craftsman, he was exposed to natural materials and attention to detail at an early age. At the age of 14, he was introduced to the guitar. Fascinated by a concert by Andres Segovia, he quickly realised that the guitar was his passion. Being left-handed, he had difficulties finding a suitable guitar at the time, which led him to learn the art of guitar making. Petar found his own way, his own vision and style of guitar making, combining the heritage of the great traditional masters with his own personal taste and aesthetics.

The F 23.14 guitar by the late Petar Antic is a remarkable instrument that encapsulates the exceptional craftsmanship of its creator. Brought personally by Antic's son, this guitar holds immense sentimental and musical value, representing the legacy of a luthier who left the world too soon. As a New Old Stock (NOS) item, it remains in pristine condition, a testament to Antic's meticulous attention to quality. The guitar's construction showcases Antic's mastery in luthiery, featuring a resonant spruce top complemented by the visually striking Ziricote wood for the back and sides. This thoughtful combination not only lends the guitar an alluring aesthetic but also enriches its sonic palette, offering a broad range of tonal colors. Its playability is exceptional, making it a delightful instrument for guitarists of all levels, from beginners to seasoned professionals.

Every detail of the F 23.14 guitar reflects Antic's dedication to his craft, from the beautifully crafted ornaments to the expertly executed setup, ensuring ease of play. This guitar transcends its function as a musical instrument, standing as a work of art that eloquently combines form and function. It boasts excellent volume and response, qualities that make it highly adaptable to various musical styles and settings. Whether used in intimate settings or larger venues, this guitar is capable of delivering performances that are both vibrant and nuanced.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
