Overview

Discover a masterpiece of guitar craftsmanship, handcrafted by the renowned luthier René Baarslag. Born in the picturesque Heerlen, Holland, in 1948, René found his true calling in the historic city of Granada in 1977, when he first experienced the mystery and elegance of guitar-making. Under the meticulous guidance of legends like Antonio Marin Montero in Spain and Robert Bouchet in France, he honed his craft.

Today, in the heart of Granada, René, alongside his talented wife Ana Espinosa, operates a workshop where guitars of unmatched quality are born. René's guitars are not just renowned in Europe but globally for their:

- Breathtaking volume
- Perfect harmony between bass and treble
- Rich spectrum of tonalities
- Impressive sustain
- Prompt resonance

Each guitar René creates tells a story – crafted from only the finest woods that have been aged for at least a decade. The instrument on sale, a jewel from 2018, boasts a cedar top, while the back and sides are made from the exquisite Ziricote wood. The fine Alessi tuners complete this guitar. Despite slight signs of play, this instrument shines in impeccable condition. As a bonus, it comes in a premium Hiscox Pro II case. Seize the opportunity to own such a magnificent piece of art!

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
