Roy Fankhänel - Special Edition 2016
Overview
Overview
Roy Fankhänel guitars are characterized by a clear sound and well balanced basses that fit to the brilliant trebles. The easy playability of Roy’s guitars makes them perfect instruments for professional virtuosos but also hobby musicians. His guitars are built in a traditional Spanish way but they have very powerful and modern sound. The bridge has twelve symmetric holes to fix the strings and a bone saddle that is formed for better compensation. The bone nut is inlaid into the fingerboard.
In addition this guitar has a variety of special features which can be found in this manner only on this guitar. The decorative elements like rosette and ornaments of the binding were specifically designed, and give the instrument a traditional look. The bridge (Indian rosewood) with its 12-hole-drilling fits perfectly into the overall picture of the guitar. Eye-catching are also the purflings made of Indian rosewood, maple and pear wood which stress the precious character of the guitar. Back and sides are made of Caribbean rosewood and the top is made of Alpine spruce. The tuning machines are made by Rubner.

Classical Guitar
The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.Look all products of the collection -
