Overview

Solveig attended the National School of Musical Instrument Making in Mittenwald and now lives in Niedenstein, where she runs a joint workshop with her husband Andreas. She builds only four to five guitars per year. With the highest dedication as well as precision, Solveig creates breathtakingly beautiful instruments. Her guitars are traditionally built, very light, and impressively powerful. Typical for her instruments is the charming and elegant sound of the trebles, which in combination with perfect balance and long sustain combine to create a wonderfully singing guitar.

This 2023 guitar, freshly introduced at the esteemed 2023 Antwerpen Guitar Festival, is a remarkable blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation. Crafted using time-honored methods, this guitar is a celebration of the classical guitar-making heritage. Yet, it steps into the modern era with features that meet the demands of today's musicians.

The instrument is characterized by its impressive volume, which does not compromise its organic quality. This balance is crucial for a guitar that needs to fill concert halls yet retain the nuanced subtleties of intimate performances. The exceptional clarity of each note is a defining feature, setting this guitar apart.

In terms of playability, this guitar excels in providing a comfortable and intuitive experience. Every aspect of its design has been thoughtfully considered to ensure ease of play. The elevated fingerboard is a particularly notable addition, offering effortless access to the higher registers and facilitating fluid movement across the fretboard.

From the careful selection of woods to the meticulous application of the final finish, every detail has been addressed with precision and skill. • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
