Overview

Víctor Quintanilla started his guitar-making journey in 2000 when he took his first course in carpentry. He entered "Lutherie Malagueña School" and studied for two years under the guidance of Maestro Chacón. Soon after, he opened his workshop and continued making guitars until today. All this led him to win the first prize at the prestigious Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Making Competition held in Granada, Spain, in October 2019. Furthermore, his works have been influenced heavily by renowned guitar maker Daniele Chiesa. Several top guitarists, including Pedro Sierra and Rafael Aguirre, perform on his instruments.

This model built in August 2022, shows Victor's excellent ability as a craftsman and that he won well-deserved the first prize at the prestigious 2019 Antonio Marin Montero guitar-making competition. The guitar was finely built using beautiful selected materials and complimented by a tasteful and classy ornamentation design. Furthermore, it sound has a fantastic clarity representing the traditional Spanish flamenco guitar at the highest level. It is simply a breathtaking instrument by a young and talented Spanish guitar maker and it is excellent for flamenco and classical guitar repertoire.

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
