Eva Beneke
Born in East Berlin, Eva Beneke began her studies at the Berlin University of Arts with Professor Martin Rennert. Her success led her to the Franz Liszt Hochschule in Weimar, where she studied with Professor Thomas Müller-Pering, one of Germany’s most influential guitarists.
In 2012 she received a doctorate with honors from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, studying with Scott Tennant, Pepe Romero and jazz guitarist Bruce Forman.
In addition to prizes at international guitar festivals in the Netherlands, Italy and the United States, Beneke is an internationally acclaimed soloist, chamber musician and published arranger. Her performances have been broadcast nationally and internationally on radio and television, including NPR’s “Performance Today”.

In Fall 2012 Beneke joined the faculty at McNallySmith College of Music in St. Paul, Minnesota. She plays strings by LaBella.
Performing at Siccas Guitars
Every classical guitarist who performs at Siccas Guitars brings a distinct musical path to the instrument — shaped by years of study, competition experience, and the particular musical tradition they have chosen to inhabit. The classical guitar demands sustained technical commitment and a deep engagement with a repertoire that spans from the Renaissance through to works written for living performers. It is an instrument whose full possibilities only reveal themselves over time.
