About the luthier
Antonius Müller was born in 1960 in the Taunus region of Germany and completed his training as a guitar maker between 1976 and 1979. He passed his master craftsman examination in 1983 and, one year later, founded the workshop Albert & Müller together with Franz Ulrich Albert. Since the mid 1990s, Müller has devoted himself intensively to the development of his own distinctive guitar model. Since 2007, he has built instruments with a composite soundboard construction using exclusively natural materials, his own interpretation of the double top. In 2013, he established his workshop in Daisbacher Weg in Aarbergen, where he also trained his son Felix Müller as an instrument maker. With more than four decades of professional experience, Antonius Müller is regarded as one of the established masters of contemporary German guitar making.

This 2013 Antonius Müller VI is a refined double top concert guitar with a cedar soundboard and CITES certified Brazilian rosewood back and sides. Built with a 640 mm scale, it offers a slightly more compact playing feel while retaining the authority and projection expected from a modern concert instrument. Its voice is notably responsive, with a wide dynamic range and a clear sense of control under the right hand. Played softly, it keeps a full tonal core and a rounded, overtone rich character. With greater energy, the sound opens quickly, gaining volume without losing elegance or focus. This 2013 Antonius Müller VI is in very good condition with normal wear signs of professional use. A slight longitudinal hairline crack along the center seam of the back and was professionally stabilized with hot hide glue. Since the fissure follows the original center join and internal reinforcement strip, no additional internal cleats are required, allowing the repair to remain discreet. The soundboard and sides show no structural cracks, and the original lacquer finish is stable, and in good condition.
