Overview
Ariel Ameijenda wurde 1963 in Montevideo (Uruguay) geboren. Er ist der Sohn von Manuel Ameijenda, einem Gitarrenbauer der bei Juan Carlos Santurion den Gitarrenbau erlernte. Santurion war Schüler von Ignacio Fleta. Schon in der Kindheit half Ariel in der Werkstatt des Vaters mit, wo er schon früh Gitarrenbautechniken erlernte. Im Alter von 14 Jahren baute er selbstständig seine ersten Gitarren. 1997 eröffnete Ariel seine erste eigene Werkstatt in Montevideo. Seit 2014 befindet sich seine Wekstatt in Piriapolis, Uruguay. Diese Gitarre wurde 2016 gebaut und hat eine Zederndecke sowie Boden und Zargen aus indischem Palisander. Der Klang ist sehr kräftig und warm, wie man es von einer Zederndeckengitarre erwarten würde. Zugleich ist der Diskant angenehm brillant und hat einen sehr langanhaltendes Sustain. Die Mechaniken sind von Gotoh. Inklusive Hartschalenkoffer.
