At HANIKA craftsmanship is understood as custom work and sound as art. A guitar from the famous Baiersdorf manufacture is a symbol of quality and craftsmanship tradition. Since 1953 it has been the basis for the success story of the company, combined with trend-setting innovations. Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has been building classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since.
The HE Lattice model is part of Hanikas’s professional line, representing the peak in guitar-making, sound, and craftsmanship. This instrument is designed and composed to meet the individual needs and requirements of demanding guitar virtuosos. The finest choices of wood in conjunction with master craftsmanship and the use of the noblest and highest-quality materials result in a unique piece of sound art.
This Armin Hanika, HE Lattice custom, is a unique instrument. Pushing the boundaries of his HE Lattice model and going toward a highly modern design, Armin Hanika gave this "Special Production" guitar a ton of exciting features. To name a few, one will note the elevated fingerboard, double back, 1a head design, first-class Scheller tuners, thermo-treated spruce soundboard with lattice bracing, slight radius on the fingerboard, pins for a strap, and an extra soundport on the side. The most refined set of Ziricote was also chosen for this excellent guitar, bringing this instrument one step more towards the 1A model's quality. Soundwise, it is an absolute beast and offers outstanding responsiveness. A clean, focussed tone with plenty of sympathetical resonances make it an ideal concert guitar.
