Overview

Daniele Marrabello is one of the most sought-after Italian luthiers. After his guitar-making studies at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan, he became Enrico Bottelli’s pupil and deepened his woodworking skills, aesthetical identity, and sound personality under the guidance of the esteemed maestro. Daniele Marrabello opened his personal workshop in Vimodrone, on the outskirts of Milan, in 2012.

This instrument number 167 is not just a showcase of musicality but also a breathtaking example of aesthetic mastery.

Daniele’s selection of woods for this guitar is exemplary, demonstrating his profound understanding and respect for quality materials. The back and sides, made from the finest Indian rosewood, not only add to the guitar's visual elegance but also contribute significantly to its tonal depth and richness. The choice of a feather-light, hand-split master-grade Swiss spruce for the soundboard is equally remarkable.

The aesthetic qualities of this guitar are a clear indication that Daniele has elevated his craftsmanship to an art form. The meticulous attention to detail and the exquisite ornamentation work on the purflings are a testament to his dedication and skill. These additional decorative elements make this guitar a special model, setting it apart not only in terms of sound quality but also in its visual appeal.

Sonically, this guitar is a marvel. It offers outstanding clarity across all registers, ensuring that every note is articulated with precision and purity. The balance achieved between the different tonal ranges is impeccable, allowing for a vast palette of musical colors and expressions. Each note carries a defined and "anchored" fundamental, with the overtones being very controlled and transparent. This clarity and balance make the guitar versatile and suitable for a wide range of musical styles and nuances.

Daniele Marrabello 2023 No. 67 Classical Guitar Review

While this guitar is sold, these are ready for you

  • Classical Guitars

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
