Overview

François Leonard has been building classical guitars for almost 20 years now and lives and works in his workshop in Lorient, France. He had the opportunity to learn from many guitar builders in England and also worked in the Lakewood workshop in Germany. He received support from Dominique Field as an occasional mentor, so it is no surprise that the aesthetics and structural concept of his guitars are strongly influenced by French masters such as Daniel Friederich and Dominique Field.

The 2023 Francois Regis Leonard Lattice Bracing guitar is a true masterpiece, crafted with a cedar soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides.
