About the luthier
Nils Schebesta is a talented young guitar maker who started his apprenticeship as a luthier ten years ago. After finishing his apprenticeship, he studied guitar making in Markneukirchen and refined his skills during various internships and workshops. Before he moved into his workshop in Leipzig at the beginning of 2019, he worked for a violin maker for several years. From his workshop, he builds instruments inspired by both the German and French tradition.
About the guitar
This brand-new guitar is a modern interpretation of a traditional instrument, blending classic design with contemporary innovations. The spruce soundboard, tuned to C#/D, gives the basses a haunting and resonant quality, while the trebles are velvety and warm, offering a beautifully expressive tone.
Beyond its exceptional sound, the guitar is highly responsive and remarkably easy to play, making it a joy for any guitarist. The craftsmanship is second to none, with meticulous attention to detail evident in every aspect of its construction. The flamed maple back and sides are a particularly intriguing choice, not only adding visual elegance but also contributing to the guitar’s remarkable lightweight build—weighing only 1245 grams. A truly unique instrument that balances tradition, innovation, and masterful artistry.
