Overview

About the luthier

Dieter Müller is a renowned German luthier who focuses on building double-top guitars. Since Matthias Dammann, German luthiers have been specialists in the field of double-top guitars. Dieter Müller’s instruments are particularly sought after for their sound quality and sonority, as well as their great sound volume. In addition, the craftsmanship is also executed at a very high level.

About the guitar

This new model by Dieter Müller, introduced in early 2023, represents a bold step in design and innovation. Seeking to refine both the visual and acoustic properties of his instruments, Dieter reimagined the headstock and ornamentation while conducting an in-depth acoustic analysis of five of his finest guitars. Additionally, he studied two highly regarded Dammann guitars and a Friederich, which he had the rare opportunity to examine in his workshop. His research revealed that the most powerful and dynamic guitars shared a very low body and cavity resonance. By precisely tuning the higher top resonances, he was able to enhance sustain and introduce a beautifully expressive formant in the trebles. Using these insights, he developed this new model, featuring an exceptionally light top made from the lightest available materials, masterfully blending acoustic excellence with artistic craftsmanship.

This instrument seamlessly combines traditional characteristics with extraordinary strength and projection, embodying Dieter’s unmistakable sound signature. With a very low body resonance in D, it produces airy trebles and exceptionally deep basses, resulting in a rich and immersive tonal experience. The lightweight construction greatly enhances playability, making it an absolute pleasure to perform on. Its highly responsive nature allows for effortless articulation, ensuring that minimal effort translates into maximum expressiveness. The instrument’s quick attack and dynamic range make it exceptionally easy to handle, enabling musicians to explore a vast tonal palette with ease. As one of the finest modern concert guitars, this model perfectly balances playability, power, and rich resonance, solidifying its place among the elite instruments of contemporary luthiery.

  • Classical Guitar

The classical guitar, with its soft nylon strings and characteristic timbre, has become a symbol of chamber music, Spanish tradition, and concert repertoire. Its modern form was shaped by Antonio de Torres in the 19th century, setting the standard for the body, fan bracing, and the 65-centimeter scale length that are still used today. Instruments in this category open up a rich palette from the refined Romantic miniatures of Tárrega to the majestic concertos of Rodrigo. Here you will find guitars that preserve historical continuity and at the same time inspire new interpretations.
