Richard Jacob Weissgerber was one of the most creative, innovative, and certainly the most versatile guitar makers of the 20th century. Neither in Germany nor in the world has there been or is there any other master whose work, in its multiplicity, would be comparable to that of Richard Jacob. The variety of his guitar models, shapes, and designs are unique.
This 1943 guitar is a masterpiece of meticulous craftsmanship and elegant design. Weissgerber's dedication to detail is evident in every component. From the intricately carved headstock, which is adorned on both sides, the elaborated neck-headstock V-joint, and the bridge, which features ornamented wings, showcasing a seamless fusion of functionality and artistry.
