Karlijn Langendijk is a Dutch guitarist and composer, born in 1995 and raised in Uitgeest in North Holland. Inspired by her father, she began playing the guitar at 13, and at 16 she wrote her first piece of music. Composing has been at the heart of her work ever since. Her music moves between melody and atmosphere, with lyrical lines, rhythmic grooves and a cinematic feel, and it draws on many musical cultures and genres.

In her concerts she combines her own compositions with arrangements of well-known songs and tells the stories behind the pieces. She has toured across Europe and Asia, including China and India, and has shared the stage with Tommy Emmanuel and Peter Finger.
She graduated from the Conservatory in Utrecht in 2017 and went on to complete a Master of Music in acoustic guitar at the Hochschule für Musik in Dresden, where she studied with Thomas Fellow, Reentko Dirks and Stephan Bormann.
In November 2015 she won both the first prize and the audience prize at the SAI Acoustic Guitar Competition in the Czech Republic. She reached the final of the Acoustic Guitarist of the Year competition in London in 2018, and in 2020 the readers of MusicRadar voted her number six among the ten best acoustic guitarists of the year. She received the sponsor prize of the European Guitar Award in 2021 and again in 2024, and in 2023 she won first prize at the Francisco Mário International Prize for Modern Guitar, Europe.
Her first album, Leap of Faith, a duo with the guitarist Tim Urbanus, appeared in 2015 on Acoustic Music Records. It was followed by the solo EP Luna in July 2017 and, in December 2019, by MERAKI, a duo album with the Czech guitarist Ladislav Pazdera. Her solo album ATLAS came out in 2022 with eleven of her own compositions, and her most recent release is the EP PHASES from 2025, a set of instrumental pieces inspired by the changing seasons.
In 2018 she co-founded MusiSHEans, an international tour that gives female guitarists a stage and more visibility. At Siccas Guitars she works as a content creator, presenting our guitars in videos, and she has recorded a series of guitar tutorials for our channel.
